Job Summary:
McMillen Health is seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of Educational Resources to lead our efforts in developing innovative low-literacy curricula and custom educational resources tailored for third-party organizations. This role involves overseeing the strategic design and implementation of essential educational programs, including the Brush Oral Health Program. As the Director, you will manage a talented team of five, driving the creation and deployment of grant-funded resources that empower organizations serving Medicaid populations, such as Head Start, Early Head Start, and WIC.
In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and specialized groups to ensure that project goals are met and that resources are effectively utilized. This is a full-time, on-site role reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Sustainability with scheduled hours Monday through Friday at our McMillen Health facility.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Oversight: Spearhead the development and design of low-literacy educational resources, ensuring alignment with best practices and instructional standards.
· Program Implementation: Guide the implementation of educational resources in pilot projects, fine-tuning them before wide-scale dissemination.
· Brush Oral Health Program: Manage the annual budget and operations of the Brush Oral Health Program, ensuring Professional Trainers deliver high-quality training and identifying opportunities for program expansion.
· Guidance & Mentorship: Provide support and expertise in low-literacy curriculum development, helping to foster an environment of continuous learning within your team.
· Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external partners to build strategic resources and partnerships that enhance program impact and outreach.
· Program Evaluation: Develop and implement evaluative measures to assess the effectiveness of resources, leveraging data to drive improvements.
· Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all educational resources comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
· Budget Management: Prepare and oversee the departmental budget, including procurement of supplies for interactive resource development.
· Research Integration: Stay informed about trends and research in health education, integrating new insights into resource creation and delivery.
· Outreach & Advocacy: Represent McMillen Health at community events, conferences, and meetings, promoting our educational initiatives and cultivating partnerships.
· Additional Duties: Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations and Sustainability and CEO.
Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Design, Public Health, Education, Health Promotion, Community Health, Administration, Anthropology, or a related field preferred; significant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
· 3-5 years of proven leadership and management experience, with a strong background in staff supervision and development.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of expertise in educational program development and implementation, preferably in the nonprofit or public health sectors.
· In-depth knowledge of health education principles, curriculum design, and evaluation methodologies.
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
· Proven ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including Medicaid service organizations, community bodies, educational institutions, and health providers.
· Proficiency in utilizing data and technology to enhance program delivery and evaluate outcomes.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to oversee all marketing activities for McMillen Health, including our: · More than 250 health education programs · Custom Resources we develop for 3rd party organizations across the US · Brush Oral Health Program · Educational Resources we develop and sell nationally.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement of all of the above, drive program participation, and communicate our mission effectively to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy Development:
· Create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with McMillen Health’s goals and objectives which are outlined in our Strategic Plan.
· Analyze market trends and audience insights to identify opportunities and risks for marketing initiatives.
2. Email Marketing Campaigns:
· Design, execute, and manage targeted email marketing campaigns to engage with stakeholders, schools, Head Start, Women Infant and Children (WIC), and 3rd party organizations.
· Monitor and analyze email campaign performance metrics to optimize engagement and conversion rates.
3. Content Creation and Management:
· Develop compelling content for various channels, including digital newsletters, website, social media, and press releases, that reflects our mission and engages our audience.
· Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
· Manage Healthy Tomorrow app and promotion.
4. Social Media Management:
· Create and execute social media strategies to enhance visibility and foster community engagement.
· Regularly track and analyze social media metrics to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
5. Collaboration and Outreach:
· Work closely with the Education, Creative Services, and Educational Resources teams to identify marketing needs and create tailored campaigns that promote program activities and successes.
· Collaborate with external partners, news outlets, and community organizations to increase reach and visibility along side Director of Development & Marketing.
o Includes collaborating with McMillen Health’s Marketing Committee, which this position will lead, and attending McMillen Health’s Events Committee, which this position will lead if Director of Development & Marketing is unavailable.
6. Performance Analysis:
· Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts, prepare regular reports, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
7. Budget Management:
· Adhere to the determined marketing budget, ensuring optimal use of resources to achieve campaign goals.
8. Special Events:
· Assist the Director of Development & Marketing with all Special Events, including but not limited to securing silent auction items, making thank you calls, and setting up.
9. All Other Duties as Assigned
· McMillen Health is a nonprofit organization and frequently requires the assistance of all team members on various projects to meet our mission.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the health or nonprofit sector.
· Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices, including email marketing, social media strategies, and SEO.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content tailored to various audiences.
· Proficient in marketing software and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, social media management tools).
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Passion for health and wellness, particularly in oral health and children’s health initiatives.
