Indiana law requires that we teach about puberty and sexual health from an abstinence-based point of view. McMillen Health teaches students about their body and the changes they go through, but not about the act of having sex. We also teach about emotionally healthy relationships in an age-appropriate format, in an effort to prevent dating violence and domestic abuse.
