Youth with Disabilities 6-12: Social Emotional Smarts

Duration: 45 Min.

Through active participation, students will discover how social-emotional skills help people live healthy lives. Discussions will include what stress is and the impact stress has on the mind and body. Students will learn how to recognize physical signs of stress and practical ways to handle stress. Activities will include practicing a deep breathing exercise as a method of self-regulation and discussing the top 10 causes of stress among teenagers.

This and all of our programs for individuals with disabilities can be customized to the needs of the students.
